The Philadelphia Chapter is the largest local chapter of the Pennsylvania Railroad Technical & Historical Society (PRRT&HS). Current membership is at approximately 570 members. The Chapter strives to preserve the history and memory of the Pennsylvania Railroad operations in the greater Philadelphia area.
BENEFITS AND DISCOUNTS
The Philadelphia Chapter publishes “The High Line” magazine annually. Always anticipated, with content originating from knowledgeable members, including ex-PRR employees. Publications are mailed directly to membership.
Membership also entitles you to any supplemental publications (including Newsletters), Chapter Store discount specials, exclusive merchandise, Chapter sponsored trips & outings, a wealth of knowledge and friendships.
Membership meets approximately six (6) times a year. Meetings consist of a morning “Modelers Clinic; lunch hour “Dining Car”; short business meeting (discussion of new topics of interest in the area); and a “Feature Presentation” on some aspect of the Pennsylvania Railroad. Several vendor and exhibit tables are always on display offering photographs, literature and railroad memorabilia.
