The PRR K-4s #1361 restoration has been long sought. The Philadelphia Chapter is proud to contribute to "The Match Challenge" between The Pennsylvania
Railroad Technical & Historical Society and The Altoona Railroaders Memorial Museum.
MATCH CHALLENGE
The Philadelphia Chapter PRRT&HS has long operated with a core mission of
preserving the history and memory of The Pennsylvania Railroad operations in the greater Philadelphia area.
The PRR K-4s #1361 restoration has been long sought, with numerous attempts to bring this legendary steam locomotive back to operation. As such, the Altoona Railroaders Museum (Altoona, PA) has recently restructured its board of directors and has brought on new staff, as well as partnered with new leaders in the railroad industry. This new team is dedicated to completing the restoration of #1361 to operating condition.
The Match Challenge between
The Pennsylvania Railroad Technical & Historical Society and
The Altoona Railroaders Memorial Museum has been completed.
